Pensively Staring Off-Camera

I am a naturally pensive person, but obviously this photo is posed. Why do we do this? Pose like we want to be seen?

I’m not sure I have an answer for it. I do want you to know that I am a deep thinker, but I rarely stare off while someone else is taking a picture of me.

Is it disingenuous to have these photos taken? I don’t know. It looks cool and I can’t fault the photographer for her direction or artistic shot.

I prefer this dancing photo.

Or this photo where I’m laughing.

But pensive is necessary, I guess, at least for the photos.
